AI’s Emerging Force: MosaicML’s Swift Market Ascension

Mosaic ML, a provider of software tools for artificial intelligence work, had no media strategy when it engaged Aircover in early 2023, two years after its founding. Aircover quickly gave the brand a voice, using a strategic media relations strategy that filled a defined “white space,” while creating cohesion among myriad product announcements. We provided strategic counsel to leverage key milestones and moments for the company including major product announcements that happened within less than a month of each other.

Aircover secured press for both fast-follow announcements by focusing each news stream on a specific set of key reporters (developer/engineering vs. mainstream press). Aircover was successfully able to secure coverage around both announcements and was a key part in driving the downloads of MosaicML’s 7B model (the most downloaded model on the market).

In July 2023, MosaicML was purchased for $1.3B by Databricks and Aircover was actively involved in the M&A plans and communications.
